I have been placing crystalens implants in patients eyes for over 4 years. One of my first patients came to the office today, and her vision is better than ever. The best part for her is that she no longer needs reading glasses for any activities except the crossword puzzles!!
Early on, I only placed these lenses in patients for cataract surgery replacement lenses. In the last 2 years, I have been finding them useful for patients who are in their 50's and older, who just want to get rid of the readers.
It is truly a great time to be an eye surgeon!!
